In HTML a link tag is called an “anchor” tag.  That’s why it start with <a.  A is for Anchor.   If you want your link to go to a spot inside a page/post, you put an id in the page/post and then link using the # sign.

Here are the steps:

1. Add the id within quotes
   <h2 id=”name-can-be-anything-without-spaces”>
2. Add the link using the # sign
   <a href=”#name-can-be-anything-without-spaces”>

This video demonstrates how to install updates for Wordpress, Plugins and Themes. It also includes instructions to backup a Wordpress database.   This is part of a series provided for the students of the course “WordPress – Web Development on the right side of your brain” being taught by Phyllis Erck and produced on May 12, 2010.

To install a new wordpress theme, logon to your site, go to Appearance -> Themes and click the Add New button at the top of the page.
